Good morning and happy Monday! We are dawning a new season with Daylight Savings this past weekend. We might be sleepy, but this gloomy weather is starting to be behind us!
Super Student: Matthew!
Fact of the Week: the color that people originally associated with St. Patrick was blue!
Positive Word: Astounding!
In Math, we are at the end of Chapter 13 with perimeter and area. Our chapter test is on Wednesday. We are jumping right into chapter 14, geometry, on Thursday to finish that chapter before Easter Break. Our Aspire test in on the horizon and we are moving full speed ahead.
In Reading, our vocabulary quiz is on Tuesday on the words research, communicate, responsible, essential, specialist, and decisions. Our story test is on Thursday focusing on sequence using time order words. We are completing a paired reading on Friday in preparation of the Aspire testing as well.
In Social Studies, we are continuing our study of Women's history. We have a reading today about the influence of women writers. The rest of the week, the students will be researching on the IPADs using QR codes to research a famous woman of influence. This will also conclude our study of biographies as well.
In Religion, we are continuing on with chapter 12 with our study of vocations and God calls all of us to a life of holiness. The test will not be until late next week. We will also be having an All School Mass this week.
Any questions please feel free to contact me.
Looking forward to a FABULOUS week in Third Grade.
All the best,
Ms. Taff
