Fact of the Week:
In Reading, we are continuing our study of the story, "Dear Juno." The vocabulary quiz is on Wednesday over the words announced, crackle, starry, soared, and notice. Our story test will be on Friday. The skill we are working on is identifying plot, characters, and setting of the story. The students will read the story 3-4 throughout the week we study the story. They should be reading the story an additional 2 times at home, aloud to someone either in the reader or online.
In Math, we are pushing through with perimeter and area. The students will be having a quiz next Wednesday, with us finishing up the chapter the following week. PRACTICE THOSE MULTIPLICATION FACTS! We will be introducing the Distributive Property, complex rectangles, and decomposing this week. Please review with students what units of measurement to use with perimeter (Plain units) and area (square units).
In Social Studies, the students are completing their biographies by creating a fictional social media account using their famous person's information. They will be completing this in the computer lab with Mrs. Cour as well. We will be finishing up the rest of our chapter.
In Religion, our chapter test is on Friday. We are examining the ways in which the parish cares for others through their ministries and vocations. The students will be designing a new logo for the parish for points. We attended
